Small Biz Consulting Service Rates 1-on-1 Consulting Rates: I understand the problems of small business and tailor my rates accordingly. I know that if your immediate problem is business losses or cash flow that you will have difficulty paying a fee of any kind. Listed below are my usual rates however I will be happy to review your current situation and provide you with cost-effective options to minimize your expense. Hourly rate: $250.00 per hour. When this rate is applied, clients will be informed of the estimated number of hours that the project will take and will be kept apprised of any significant changes as time goes by. Full-Project Rate: I will bid on the project in full and that price will be the final cost regardless of how long it takes to finish the project. Specific tasks of the project will be clearly identified at the outset and the project will be considered finished when those tasks are completed. Formula Rate: For certain projects, I will offer a formula rate. For example, clients needing help in redesigning a compensation program will agree to pay a percentage of their total company payroll for one month. In the case of compensation programs, I am usually able to show how to save 4 to 7% of the total labor cost outlay per month. My fee for that is only 3.25% of the payroll. This guarantees that the fee paid will be exceeded immediately by cost savings within the first month! Further, I guarantee my work. If you follow my instructions and fail to show a cost savings equal to the amount I forecasted, I will work with you until you do achieve those savings or refund my fee completely! Workshops: Workshop fees are based on the topic, the time frame and the number of attendees. Each quote is different and will be provided after discussion of your needs. Speaking: My standard rate is $3,000 per speech. Occasionally, I offer speeches for a $500 honorarium but that is dependent on my schedule and the nature of the event such as charities or fund raisers. In all cases, "financially challenged" businesses always have my ear. I feel I have much to offer in "turnaround situations" or similar circumstances and I am pleased to work with those businesses to find a fee arrangement that is within their ability to pay.
